Things To Do

In

Bath

Bath is a top attraction destination for tourist, and this is because of various attractions. Every year, the city attracts many visitors who always travel there for a chance to enjoy various things to do in Bath. Here are some of the Bath attractions that you will enjoy seeing.

Roman Bath

This is one of the top Bath attractions that were founded when a natural hot spring was found in the area. This one of the most guarded roman remains in the world. It is, therefore, a top tourist’s attraction centre where many visitors travel to see the wonderful spring water that reaches up to 46 degrees Celsius. The ancient Romans believed that this was as a result of mystical work of God. However, it was later discovered that the water comes from Kings’ spring and was as a result of some rainwater that was around 10000 BC.

Apart from seeing the hot natural springs, you will also have a chance to see the Roman tiles used as pavement that was done over 2000 years ago.  If you visit the Roman bath over your July and August holidays, you will find the place open from 9 AM to 10 PM and therefore a chance to enjoy more fun on the torch illuminated pavements. The admission charges will cover the handheld audio guide that you will use to learn about the various things around the park. If you are visiting in groups of more than 20 people, you will get special group rates. Visit this great Bath attraction and appreciate nature.

Worship at Bath Abbey

Your list of Things to do in Bath should include a visit to Bath Abbey an Anglican church that was founded in the 7th century. However, the official recognition of this Bath attraction was in the 10th century after which several improvements were done. In the mid 18thh century, a major restoration work was carried out to renew the structure. The building has a total of 52 windows that occupy about 80% of the walls. This structure houses several other events during the weekdays which include concerts, exhibitions, and other secular events. On Sunday it serves as a centre for praying and no matter where you come from, everyone is welcomed to pray at the Bath Abbey. Therefore, if you happen to be in Bath on Sundays, you can pass by and worship with other believers. Apart from the entry fee you pay, you are welcomed to give a donation in support of the ministry.

Pulteney Bridge

This is one of the most admired Bath attraction and one of the only bridges that have shops across the world. The bridge was built to be a link of the two sides of the city. When the bridge was built, a suggestion was made that shops can be constructed under the bridge to utilise the extra space. This is one of the bath attractions that are famous across the world.
